केवलेन प्रवचनेन कार्यं न सिद्ध्यति । अतः केनचित् निदर्शनेन शिष्यान् दर्शयति कश्चन महात्मा - कथम् ईर्ष्याद्वेषादिकं अन्यान् पीडयति, कथम् ईर्ष्याद्वेषादिकं परित्यक्तं चेत् जीवनं निर्मलं स्वच्छं स्यात्, ईर्ष्याद्वेषादिकं सदा मनसि स्थापयेम तर्हि मनसः अस्वास्थ्यं ततः जीवनस्य दुर्गतिः च कथं भवति इति । किं तत् निदर्शनमिति शृण्मः ।
(“केन्द्रीयसंस्कृतविश्वविद्यालयस्य अष्टादशीयोजनान्तर्गततया एतासां कथानां ध्वनिप्रक्षेपणं क्रियते”)
One cannot achieve anything by simply listening to lectures. Hence, a sage, through an activity, shows his disciples how envy and hatred can cause trouble to others, how one cannot be healthy with envy and hatred always in the mind, and how life becomes pure and clear when such emotions are cast aside. Let us hear what that activity is.
