आक्रामकेण बाबरेण नाशितस्य राममन्दिरस्य कथा एषा । कश्चन प्रतापी सम्राट् विक्रमादित्यः कदाचित् रामजन्मभूमिम् अन्वेष्टुं सरयूनदीतटस्य समीपे स्थिते घोरे अरण्ये अन्वेषणं कारितवान् । किन्तु, न प्राप्तम् । विषादेन वृक्षस्य अधः उपविष्टवता राज्ञा प्रयागराजः दृष्टः । प्रयागराजस्य कथनानुगुणं यत्र क्षीरं स्रावन्ती धेनुः दृष्टा तत्र भूमेः खननेन एकं मन्दिरं दृष्टिगोचरतां गतम् । तत्रैव यत् भव्यं मन्दिरं निर्मापितवान् तदेव राममन्दिरत्वेन ख्यातं जातम् ।

This is the story of the Ram Mandir, which was destroyed by Babar. Once, a mighty ruler, Vikramaditya, thoroughly searched the dense forest situated on the banks of the Sarayu River in order to find the birthplace of Lord Rama, but he could not find it. The saddened king, sitting under a tree, saw Prayagraj. According to the legend of Prayagraj, an excavation of the land was carried out at a spot where a cow was seen pouring milk, and a temple was discovered. Later, the king built a magnificent temple, which came to be known as the Ram Mandir.
