प्रतिमानां सन्देशः

कदाचित् कश्चन गुरुः लवणेन वस्त्रेण शिलया च निर्मिताः तिस्रः प्रतिमाः जले निमज्जयन् तासां तत्त्वं बोधयति । शिलानिर्मिता प्रतिमा जले निमज्ज्य अपि अल्पमपि विकारं न प्राप्नोत् । केचन शिलाप्रतिमा इव । जलं ज्ञानम् इव । केचन ज्ञाने निमज्ज्य अपि स्वस्मिन् किमपि परिवर्तनं न प्राप्नुवन्ति अहङ्कारादिकारणतः । वस्त्रनिर्मिता प्रतिमा तु जलं स्वस्य अन्तः स्वीकरोति । तादृशाः ज्ञानं सम्पादयन्तः तदनुगुणम् आचरन्तः विकासमार्गे अग्रे गच्छन्ति । लवणनिर्मिता प्रतिमा यदा जले निमग्ना भवति तदा जले विलीना भवति । एतादृशाः भवन्ति ज्ञानिनः ये प्रतिदिनमपि ज्ञानम् अर्जयन्तः तदनुगुणम् आचरन्ति ।

A teacher once used three types of idols—made of stone, cloth, and salt—to explain the nature of learning. When immersed in water (symbolizing knowledge), the stone idol remained unchanged. Some people are like this: even when surrounded by wisdom, they remain unaffected due to ego or rigidity. The cloth idol absorbed the water. These are learners who take in knowledge and grow by applying it. The salt idol dissolved completely in water. Such people become one with knowledge, living it fully and transforming through it. True seekers are like the salt idol—humble, receptive, and ever-evolving.
