आदिमः ऋषिः

एषा आदिमानवकाले प्रवृत्ता कथा कथयति 'कथं शनैः शनैः मानवः ज्ञातुं प्रारभते यत् एकः एव ईश्वरः भिन्नैः भिन्नैः रूपैः अवतरति । एषा सृष्टिः तु ईशमयूरस्य अद्भुतकरः अनन्तः अनादिः पिच्छकलापः एव । एकः एव शुभ्रकिरणः सप्तवर्णेषु परिवर्तितः । एकः एव प्रणवः सप्तस्वरेषु प्रकटितः । एका एव उदकस्य रुचिः भिन्नासु रुचिषु अभिव्यक्ता । एकः एव मृद्गन्धः यस्मात् अवतीर्णा विविधा गन्धमाला । एवम् ईश्वरः गोचरः भवति, श्रुतः भवति, रुचितः भवति, इन्द्रियसंवेद्यः भवति च' इति ।

This ancient story illustrates how, over time, humans come to realize that the one divine being manifests in various forms. The universe is like the magnificent and infinite plume of the divine peacock. A single pure ray transforms into seven colors, just as one sacred sound unfolds into seven musical notes. The taste of water expresses itself in many flavors, and from the essence of earth arises a variety of fragrances. Thus, the divine is perceived, heard, experienced, and sensed through countless manifestations.
