कदाचित् कश्चन शिष्यः बौद्धधर्मप्रसारणार्थं सूनप्रातपरिषदं गन्तुम् इच्छामि इति बुद्धं वदति । बुद्धः सर्वदा गमनसमये शिष्याणां मनोबलं सम्यक् परिशील्य एव तान् अन्यत्र प्रेषयति । अतः बुद्धः एतं शिष्यं परीक्षते । बुद्धः बहून् प्रश्नान् पृच्छति, भाययति च । किन्तु शिष्यः किञ्चिदपि विचलितः न अभवत् । शिष्यस्य मुखात् निर्गतानि वचनानि श्रुत्वा तस्य ज्ञानं धैर्यं च ज्ञात्वा बुद्धः अत्यन्तं सन्तोषम् अनुभूतवान् । सः एव साधुः यः कस्याञ्चिदपि स्थितौ परिच्छिद्रान् न पश्यति ।

A disciple wanted to go to Sunaprat Parishad to spread Buddhism. Before sending him, Buddha tested the disciple's mental strength by asking many questions and provoking him. However, the disciple remained calm and composed. Buddha was pleased with the disciple's wisdom and patience, realizing he was ready for the task. The story highlights the importance of calmness in the face of challenges.
