दुर्भावः अनुचितः

समुद्रतीरे पार्श्वे स्थितं पेयं स्तोकं स्तोकं पिबन्तं कञ्चन युवकम्, अपि च तस्य मूर्ध्नि हस्तं प्रसारयन्तीं काञ्चन महिलां दृष्ट्वा भद्रपुरुषः अचिन्तयत् यत् सः युवकः मद्यपः, सा च महिला प्रेयसी गणिका स्त्री इति । तावता समुद्रतः 'रक्षत रक्षत' इति चीत्कारं श्रुत्वा सः युवकः‌ झटिति समुद्रं प्रविश्य परित्राणकार्यम् आरभ्य भद्रपुरुषेण सह सर्वान् रक्षितवान् । तदनन्तरं भद्रपुरुषः ज्ञातवान् यत् सः बालकः रोगस्य कारणेन औषधं पिबन्नासीत्, अपि च तस्य पार्श्वे उपविष्टवती सा महिला तस्य माता इति । स्वस्य चिन्तनविषये लज्जाम् अनुभवन् अन्यस्य विषये दुर्भावः न वहनीयः अपि च पूर्वाग्रहः त्यक्तव्यः इति भद्रपुरुषः निश्चितवान्  ।

At the seashore, a coast guard saw young man drinking something and a woman sitting next to him, placing her hand on his head. The guard thought the young man was a drunkard and the woman was his lover or a prostitute. Then, hearing cries of "Help! Help!" from the sea, the young man quickly jumped in and, with the guard’s help, saved everyone. Later, the guard learned that the young man had been taking medicine because he was sick, and the woman was his mother. Feeling ashamed of his earlier judgment, the man realized that one should not judge others based on assumptions and should avoid prejudice.
