12月18日、官邸幹部が記者団の取材で「日本は核保有すべきだ」と語り、大手メディアが一斉にこの発言を取り上げて物議を醸している。この当該発言者は匿名の「安全保障担当の官邸幹部」等とされ、いままで明らかになってこなかったが、「週刊文春」の取材で、尾上定正総理大臣補佐官であることがわかった。
