大學缺額潮來襲，老牌私校東海大學相較去年0缺額，今年缺額數達649人；相較下，另一間中部私校逢甲招生名額更多，卻僅缺額132人。東海「惡名昭彰」的勞作教育成為眾矢之的，師生連署要求廢除，校方則提出4.0版力挽狂瀾。
