Show Notes

Khristi Lauren Adams had a realization that young women of color, particularly Black girls, always had to share the space and that their voices are very rarely the center of stories we read and hear about. This week, you'll hear my conversation with Khristi, author of the “Parable of The Brown Girl” — recommended as one of the books by Black authors to read by top media outlets like Vogue, Essence and PopSugar. Khristi is a speaker, an ordained Minister and is the co-director of Diversity and Inclusion at the Hill School in Philadelphia.

In this episode, I talked to Khristi about how wanting to do something unconventional led her to become a pastor and the obligation and responsibility she felt towards elevating the stories of young women of color. Plus, how a Jennifer Aniston movie influenced her to pick her major in college!
