- Very wholesome book
- John Owen is the opposite of a perfectionist (in the doctrinal sense that we can become perfectionists)
- One of the blessings that comes from reading this is that he hates sin intensely

- “Anatrepo” refers to the destructive effect of false teaching on wholesome Christian living
