Isreal & Middle East Conflict:
- there has been endless Middle East conflict, and it is easy to push it to the side
- however there are things that Christians need to pay attention to
- I am not an adherent of manifest destiny
- you can’t unscramble the egg
- we ought to recognize that Isreal has the right to occupy the space she currently has
The Conservative Mind:
- written by Russel Kirk
- one of the values of conservative temperament is that it is not idealogical
- the conservative is suspicious of systems
- the conservative prefers the devil he knows to the devil he doesn’t know
Alusiteles:
- The NT describes sins of omission in different ways
- Heb. 13:17 - the saints are told to avoid making their rulers assigned task a grief
- they are to be a joy to serve, not a grief
- when this is not done, the result is unprofitable (alusiteles)
- when worshipers find that their whole church experience is “unprofitable” for them, this is one of the possible reasons they should check
