1 Thessalonians 2:1–12 gives us a picture of what true, God-honoring ministry looks like. Paul and his companions didn’t preach for popularity or profit, but with courage and integrity, even in the face of suffering. They had arrived at the point in their lives where their goal wasn’t to please people but to please God. God sees the heart.
They cared deeply for the Thessalonian believers—like a gentle mother tenderly nurturing her children and like a father encouraging and guiding his family. Their lives matched their message, and they urged others to “walk worthy of God, who calls you into His kingdom and glory.”
Always remember that true ministry is not about power, prestige, or applause—it’s about humility, sincerity, and a deep love that points people to Christ.
