Because of the disproportionate unbalance between the input-output from either of the left and right hemispheres of the brain, a bio-AI is born, this is called the personality or altered-ego. It's a very limited program-construct of the mind that believes itself to be the true rider of the bio-machine but in fact all it can do is overlay a distorted—obscured field of vision upon reality.
