The Football Sustainability Index by Fair Game is a report that examines four key criteria as to how well a football club is doing off the pitch. It measures Financial Solvency, Good Governance, Fan Engagement and Equality Standards and to create an overall Sustainability Index score for clubs in the Premier League and The Championship.
But what is the aim? Could this index be used as part of the government's 'White Paper' release that is expected this week? And does it actually matter to the clubs if they are performing well on the index?
