Despite Paul George making his Sixers debut, a hot shooting display from Tyrese Maxey and a career night from Guerschon Yabusele the Sixers still fell to Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns, falling 118-116 as the Sixers dropped to 1-5 on the young season.
Tyrese Maxey finished with 32 points, with Paul George chipping in with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in his Sixers debut. Guerschon Yabusele added 19 points, with a career-high 5 threes, off the bench. Kevin Durant led both teams with 35, including the game-winner in the final minute of play.
