The Philadelphia Flyers had an opportunity to put a dent in the Eastern Conference playoff race, facing off at home against the Metropolitan division’s 3-seed, the Columbus Blue Jackets. After Sean Couturier opened the scoring late in the first period, however, the Orange & Black put up little in terms of high-end scoring chances, and failed to convert on the ones created by Owen Tippett, Noah Cates and Matvei Michkov.
