Show Notes
This week listen in as Mike and Danny order up a mess of popcorn and broccoli and head to the movies. But who do we find protesting outside? Yes it’s Plato waving a “Down with This Sort of Thing” placard. Yes, once again Plato shines his torch into the dark corners of the cave which is theatre and tells us to stop doing that. Do theatre and the arts hold a mirror up to nature or lead us further away from the ideal forms? Is all of existence nothing more than a series of performances for specific audiences in which case when do we get the opportunity to rehearse? Are we inevitably typecast for every person we meet or can we freely adopt new and exciting roles? I for one am a trained actor reduced to the status of a bum!
