Ethan's brother Don, a member of the Pertnear Outdoors crew, was fortunate enough to harvest a beautiful buck with his young son at the Lucas Camp this past fall. This episode includes Ethen Lucas, his dad - Big Don, brother Don and nephew Connor. This is a great reflection of strong family bonds forged in the outdoors, passing down deer camp traditions to the next generation and taking in the perspective of a 7 year old boy. In Ep 226 I'm joined by Big Al and Chico Mack, as well as Josh Monster from the Stony Brook Chapter of Whitetails Unlimited. This is a conversation with my old friend Josh about whitetail hunting, Whitetails Unlimited and many rabbit holes along the way. Nothing like good friends, retirement and afternoon bourbon!

In episode 225 we are joined by AJ Harris from Harris Hunting Adventures. AJ operates out of Lee Maine and while primarily a bear guide, AJ also takes a couple of moose hunts each year. Tim and I hear a couple of amazing stories of AJ's Moose guiding experiences in Maine this past season.

Ep 224 is a recap of our annual Pa. Deer Camp. We're at the main lodge and enjoying some camaraderie, some adult beverage and stoies of the hunt, and this year was a good one. 9 bucks in 3 days, many laughs and much type 2 fun! This is a good one.....

In Ep 223 we'll hear first from Jimmy D about his buck harvest in the NY gun season. Jim had a goal of getting 3 bucks this year - mission accomplished! Then we'll connect with Billy as he's on the way to Pa. Deer Camp to join the Pertnear Outdoors gang for a few days of shenanigans!

Ep 221 is a breakdown of Rut Camp 2025. Billy, Big Willy and Jim D'Augostino break down the rut camp, success of several and struggles of some. It was a wild weekend, in the woods and around the kitchen table!

In episode 220, we're tapering off in the shop after butchering Chris's 12 point. We decided to fire up the podcast gear and capture the story of his hunt, and of course we talk lots of other stuff!

Ep 218 is a recap of our bear hunting trip in northern Maine. Tim, Jimmy and Big Willy made the trip and everybody saw some bears. We're also joined by A.J. Harris, guide and owner of Harris Outdoor Adventures. We share our experiences from the week and hear about the Harris family history of guiding and how A.J. ended up running the business. Pertnear a great episode!!

Ep 217 is a recap of our first out of state turkey hunt. We traveld to Bradford Pa to hunt at Chestnut Hill Whitetails with Sergei Swanson. We'll hear about Sergei's first season outfitting and how he is gearing up for the 2025 whitetail season. In this episode, I'm joined by Steve Dunnigan from The Hunt Works, brother-in-law Al Mack and Sergei to chat about our hunt so far and the story behind Chestnut Hill Whitetails. Albert Mack, Al's cousin, joined us on the hunt as well. This is an awesome camp offering great accommodations, lots of available ground in historic oil fields of Bradford Pa. This was a great experience and we'll be hunting here again for sure!

In this episode the crew is at the family deer camp for our annual Thanksgiving hunt. Joining Billy on this episode is uncle Tim, uncle Chris, cousins David and Sean, and of course brother Big Jim! I have no idea what they discuss as I was sleeping, but I bet it has to do with deer hunting this season and maybe even a report on the Sept 24' Elk hunt.
