The Republican National Convention has officially kicked off in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the Republican base has gathered to rally around former President Trump as their party’s 2024 Presidential Nominee. Days after surviving an assassination attempt while speaking at a Pennsylvania rally, President Trump has prevailed as a pillar of strength—an image that a presidential nominee seeking re-election could only hope for ahead of their party’s convention. Meanwhile, on the other side of the aisle calls for President Biden to step down are being overshadowed, granting the President a slim opportunity to reassess how to move forward with his campaign.
