In this episode, Perry and Jaime sit down with Aliens: Resurgence director TrisRex to explore his ambitious, labor-of-love fan film set twenty years after the events of James Cameron’s Aliens. What began as an idea during the uncertainty of 2021 evolved into a full-scale production, complete with pandemic challenges, practical builds, and even a Chicago windstorm that literally blew the set away. TrisRex walks us through the creative journey from concept to completion, sharing his deep love for the Alien universe, the grit it takes to bring a vision to life, and the passion that fuels independent filmmaking. This is a conversation about fandom, resilience, and the drive to create something meaningful inside a world we all care about. At Perfect Organism: The Alien Saga Podcast, we believe fandom is not just something to analyze, it’s something to champion. We’re proud to spotlight creators who expand the hive and keep the spirit of Alien alive in bold and inventive ways.
