What is Stock Analysis - A Strategy Breakdown from The Morning Brew
- Technical v Fundamental Analysis
- Financials. SEC EDGAR
- Important ratios
- Quick Ratio: Current assets, excluding inventory, divided by current liabilities. You want a quick ratio higher than 1.
- Net Profit Margin: Net income divided by revenue. You want to see this number growing.
- Return On Assets (ROA): Net income divided by total assets.
- Earnings Per Share (EPS): Earnings divided by the weighted average number of shares outstanding. The higher the EPS the higher the value.
- Price To Earnings Ratio (PE): Share price divided by annual earnings per share (EPS).
- Price to Sales Ratio (PSR): Market capitalization divided by annual sales. Good for growth stocks.
- Do your own DD
- Benzinga, Twitter and Yahoo are good sources for news
- What is built into the price? Everything?
- What do you think about the company's future?
- Is there positive consumer sentiment?
