Most of the companies want to buy technology in the form of an application that can help them do their business better. He adds companies that typically own the operational side and process manufacturing, and IoT, used to be apart, but now some companies have a deep understanding of both. He also talks about consolidation and how it impact the industry. While the big mergers tend to hit the headlines, there are many that don't hit the headlines that are impacting edge computing or analytics.
