John Carbone, the son of an insurance salesman, watched his father and (at the time, stay-at-home) mother take a leap of faith in the early 1980s and open a donut shop. After some family advice, he decided to take the venture and change it to pizza and in 1984, opened what has become an iconic west side pizzeria in Rochester, NY. John is a masterclass in entrepreneurship, knowing his numbers and focusing only on his core competencies. That consistency has brought he and his family the success they enjoy today through their 4 shops.

John is the absolute O.G of craft beer in Rochester, NY. The founder of Rohrbach Brewing Company, John's company has stood the test of time as he has successfully operated not only a restaurant, which is hard enough, but a craft brewery through 2 craft beer explosions while navigating the in-between times as well. Ted Rund Jr. is the owner of Thirsty Turtle (Victor, NY) and Harro East, the iconic Rochester, NY event space. Teddy didn't necessarily set-out for entrepreneurship, but grew up around it as his father and family lineage brought that aspect to his life.
