Her involvement as both a participant and run director highlights the infectious positivity at the heart of Parkrun.


 

One standout narrative is the inspiring journey of 81-year-old Maggie Hamilton. A former dancer, Maggie celebrated her 100th Parkrun milestone in January 2026 with elegance and camaraderie. She embodies the essence of community, seamlessly knitting friendships each week and underscoring the importance of giving back. Maggie regularly volunteers, contributing to the supportive spirit that keeps Parkrun alive.
