Show Notes

In today's episode I talk to Helen Joyce, the author of "Trans: When Ideology Meets Reality", which was also translated to Hungarian (titled Transzneműek).

We discuss basic facts of biology, queer theory’s capture of academia, the history of transsexualism and the gendered soul as a religious concept and a luxury belief. Helen also explains why it is dangerous to argue for gender identity affirmation by quoting suicide rates and why we desperately need to hang on to women’s sex segregated spaces.

Helen has a PhD in mathematics and she is also a journalist. She was a long-time staffer at The Economist, and she is currently working with the campaign group Sex Matters.
