Welcome to Roctober !! Starting the month off right! We watched Venom: Let There Be Carnage as well The Starling, Intrusion, Black As Night, and My Little Pony: A New Generation! Plus we have Tv talk and some good trailers as well.

This week we watch Clint Eastwood's latest film, Cry Macho. We try and figure out what age group Nightbooks is meant for. Jeff talks about watching the Amazon Prime adaptation of Cinderella. Patrick gives his two cents on News of the World and Malignant. In our tv talk, we discuss Y: The Last Man, What If...?, Titans, and Squid Games.

This week come back from a week off. We have a lot to discuss. We cover Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Kate, Malignant, He's All That and Hooking Up. We also put our two cents in on Old, Cruella, and Long Shot. We also talk tv with two episodes of What If..., Titans, and Reservation Dogs. #armrings

This week we answer the question "Am I old enough to watch this?" We watch Candyman for our Feature Presentation. Jeff puts his two cents in on Spiral, and Freaky. Patrick watches Vacation Friends, and Annette. This weeks #familymovienight pick is Bigfoot Family.

#familymovienight pick this week is Paw Patrol: The Movie. The double feature this week is Netflix's Sweet Girl and HBOMAX/Theater release Reminiscence. Jeff talks about the silly and wild Netflix action movie with JCVD, The Last Mercenary. Patrick talks about the new action movie, The Protégé. We also talk about the new episode of What If...

This week we watched Free Guy (with past guest Michael Tow), as well as watching the Amazon Prime documentary Val about actor Val Kilmer. Patrick watched Don't Breathe 2 and Jeff watched Vivo on Netflix for #familymovienight and also Batman-The Long Halloween:pt 2. Patrick also puts his two cents in on the Fear Street Trilogy.

This week we delve into the fun ridiculous world of James Gunn's Suicide Squad, as well as the slow moving fantasy drama The Green Knight. Patrick also discusses the Netflix movie Awake. Jeff goes back to the 80's to talk about the John Candy classic Summer Rental.

After a great talk on the previous episode about the movie The Paper Tigers, we were lucky enough to speak to the Writer/Director of the film, Bao Tran and Producer Michael Velasquez about everything from pitching the movie, to casting, to directing action sequences. This was an amazing talk and definitely one to check out. There were no real spoilers talked about, however it does help if you have seen it as we do talk about specific scenes in the film. At the end of the episode we have an actor cameo/co-producer that joined us. Be sure to check out The Paper Tigers on Netflix this Saturday August 7th.

Patrick talks about the new Soderbergh drama No Sudden Move as well as the new Amazon Prime action movie Jolt. Jeff talks about M. Night's latest movie Old as well as the Netflix horror trilogy Fear Street. 1994, 1978 and 1666.

This episode we welcome back returning guest Chad Paetznick of Sunday Music Soapbox Podcast. Chad talks about background acting on Stranger Things 4. We also discuss Space Jam: A New Legacy, Gunpowder Milkshake, Escape Room:Tournament of Champions, and Batman-The Long Halloween: Part 1.

This week we have a double feature of fun! The first movie we discuss is The Tomorrow War featuring Chris Pratt and Mary Lynn Rajkub. The second is the much anticipated Black Widow from Marvel pictures. Patrick also talks about the horror comedy Werewolves Within, and the thriller Till Death. Jeff talks about the #familymovienight pick, The Boss Baby: Family Matters.

This week, we take a ride with Dom and the team...er, family in F9. Jeff talks about watching one of his favorites growing up, UHF, with his son. Jeff also watched the comedy Good On Paper available on Netflix. Patrick talks about watching the Netflix drama Fatherhood as well as putting his two cents on Infinite and watching F8 of the Furious.

This week is a special week. We celebrate and thank all of you and our past guests for being apart of the first 100 episodes. We also thank Courtney Pepper of The Strange South Podcast for designing a drink to help us celebrate this milestone. The Feature Presentation this week is the Disney+ release Luca. Patrick also talks about watching The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard. Jeff talks about the Paramount+ film Infinite and taking his daughter back to the theater to see Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway.

This week we talk Loki, and Sweet Tooth for our tv picks. Our Feature Presentation is also our #Familymovienight pick for this week, In the Heights. Patrick also watched Guy Ritchie's latest movie, Wrath of Man. He also watched the new Disney film Cruella. Jeff watches another movie to cross off of his Summer Movie Watch List, The Great Race, starring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemon and Natalie Wood from 1965. Jeff also talks about completing the watching the rest of The Conjuring Universe movies, The Annabelle trilogy! Check it out now!!

Jeff check a movie off of his summer watch list with the movie The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.

Back from a week off, Jeff and Patrick have a Double Feature to discuss. Jeff returns back to the movie theater for the first time in 14 months. The guys both saw A Quiet Place: Part II in theater. Jeff saw in standard 2D and Patrick saw it in 4DX. The second feature they watched was Netflix's Army of the Dead. Jeff also watched The Father and The Mauritanian. Kids pick this week was Spy Kids 4-D:All the Time in the World. Patrick watched a South Korean zombie comedy, The Todd Family: Zombie for Sale. This week, family movie night brings us Yes Day. Jeff also talks about the family adventure movie from Netflix, Finding Ohana. Patrick and I both discuss the Apple TV+ film Cherry starring Tom Holland and directed by The Russo Brothers. Patrick also talks about the Spike Lee film Chi-Raq and the Amazon Prime time loop film The Map of Tiny Perfect Things.

In this episode we talk about how much fun we had watching Coming 2 America. Patrick also discusses the kids movie Tom & Jerry and latest Liam Neeson action movie, Honest Thief. Jeff discusses Hulu's newest time loop action film, Boss Level. Jeff then brings in a special guest to help discuss the video game turned into a movie, Monster Hunter.

We go through both the Golden Globe nominations as well as the SAG nominations. Patrick and Jeff also discuss Netflix's latest release, Malcolm and Marie. Patrick also discusses Journey to the West from the director of of Kung-Fu Hustle. Patrick also talks about TV mini-series The Stand from 1994. Jeff talks about the Netflix film The White Tiger as well as watching the 1991 tv show Dinosaurs with the kids for Family Movie Night (minus the movie).

First episode of February and the beginning of Black History Month. This week we talk about HBO MAX's latest release The Little Things. Jeff talks about the HBO MAX documentary Baby God and the documentary, MLK FBI. Family Movie Night is the 1986 comedy Police Academy 3:Back In Training. Patrick talks about the Amazon Prime sci-fi movie Parallel as well as the 2018 drama Blood Brother. Patrick finishes up talking about the very heavy and important film American Skin.

This week we have a great episode. We about filming in a pandemic with the movie Locked Down. We also talked about movies found via streaming Rogue, Cut Throat City, Alone, and Save Yourselves! We also discussed Jungleland with past guest Michael Tow, and Shadow in the Cloud.

Actor Michael Tow joins us to talk about his work in Lucky Grandma, Sound of Thunder as well as his other body of work. We also talk about the representation of Asian actors as well as the hearing impaired. Michael talks to us about what it is like to audition for roles during a pandemic and what steps he has to take before shooting a film/tv project while filming during a pandemic.

We also bring in a very special guest, Ruth Hall, to break down some Lifetime Christmas movies. We discover that there is a Winter Storm Megan Universe in Lifetime Christmas movies. And we also hear about a confession from Patrick that may change the course of his and Jeff's relationship.

Patrick talks about the new film in the Small Axe series, Red, White, and Blue. Patrick also watches the Jim Carey CGI take on A Christmas Carol as well as watches the independent cult hit Attack the Block. Jeff watches the Sci-Fi Romantic Comedy Supper Intelligence, as well as the cute family film Godmothered from Disney Plus. Finally Jeff watches the thriller Capricorn One from 1977.
