Continuing with Evil Empires, this week we take a look at Purdue Pharma, the creators of the opium based medicine Oxycontin, a drug that flooded the american markets in the late 1990's and 2000's subjecting hunreds of thousands of people to the addictive nature of opium. Many lives were lost, many families destroyed.... And yet the Sackler family who owned the company of Pudue Pharma, walked away scot-free, having never admitted to any wrong doing!
