Emmanuel, sotto shock per la reazione inaspettata di Gianni, reagisce come può al suo tentativo di violenza e riesce ad avere la meglio.
Subito dopo Gianni torna in sé e si rende conto con angoscia di avere rischiato una rottura irreparabile.
Emmanuel, con dolcezza e pazienza, cerca di capire cosa sia successo al suo amico, e comprende di avere a che fare con una personalità bipolare.

Emmanuel, in shock at Gianni's unexpected behaviour, reacts as best he can to his attempted violence and succeeds in getting the upper hand.
Immediately afterwards Gianni comes to his senses and realizes with angst that he has risked an irreparable breakup.
Emmanuel, with gentleness and patience, tries to understand what has happened to his friend, and realizes that he is dealing with a bipolar personality.
