Emmanuel, ferito ad una spalla dopo l'incidente con Arianna, è a casa sua, coccolato dai suoi e circondato di attenzioni. Il ragazzo è sotto shock e non riesce a rendersi bene conto di cosa gli sia successo. Le ultime vicissitudini della sua vita sono state troppo turbolente perché possa prenderne atto con lucidità: in quella situazione di semi-incoscienza, ansioso e turbato dalla sua attuale condizione di invalido e dall'impulso di "dover fare qualcosa", Emmanuel trova un'imprevista spalla su cui piangere in suo fratello Michele, che cerca di confortarlo e di rasserenarlo come meglio può.
