In this lesson of Sūrah Hūd verses 109–116, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explores the warnings and guidance offered to the Prophet ﷺ and his followers in the face of persistent disbelief. The verses reaffirm that those who worship others besides Allāh are only following blind tradition and will receive their due share of recompense. Just as previous scriptures like the Torah were disputed, the Qur’ān too faces doubt from many. Yet, every individual will be fully repaid for their deeds. Believers are instructed to stay firm upon the truth, avoid leaning toward the wrongdoers, and uphold prayers consistently. The reminder that good deeds erase bad ones offers hope, while the importance of patience and moral courage is emphasised. The passage concludes by lamenting the rarity of righteous reformers in past nations and warns against indulgence in worldly luxury at the cost of faith.
