In this lesson of Sūrah Al-A’rāf, verses 159-162, Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf discusses the righteous qualities of a group among the People of the Scripture. These individuals are characterised by their unwavering commitment to truth, nightly recitation of Allāh’s verses, and acts of prostration in devotion to Him. The verses praise their humility, sincerity, and steadfast belief in the revelations sent by Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ. Their recognition of the Qur’ān as the ultimate truth leads them to respond with gratitude and deep humility, prostrating and weeping in awe of its message and the fulfilment of divine promises. Allāh عَزَّوَجَلَّ honours their patience and submission by granting them a double reward, highlighting their elevated status and exemplary faith.
