Show Notes
I have talked lots about responding effectively to anxiety and other big feelings. It is critical I address it again in this skills-building series because, even if we don't ever get to the kids' skill-building, how adults respond to big emotions when they show up makes all the difference in the world. And hearing it again is important because parents need lots of reminders and practice so get unstuck from our habitual (and unhelpful) ways of responding.
Adults need to learn how to become effective emotion coaches. And I talk about how to do this (with one key, easy communication hack parents can master today) in this episode, so be sure to listen in!
