'Overeducated and Underemployed' welcomes Mike White, a versatile graphic designer, photographer, and visual artist known for his concert photography. Mike White has professionally photographed Paul McCartney, Radiohead, U2, REM, AC/DC, Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth, Soundgarden, Philip Glass, Depeche Mode, and New Order, among many many more. In addition to being the official AthFest 2025 Photographer, he has also photographed most of the artists that have previously appeared on "Overeducated and Underemployed"Mike talks about how his passion for live concert photography, especially within the music community, turned from a hobby into a historical documentation of the evolving music scene over the past 20 years. He shares insights into his techniques, challenges with balancing his photography with his day job, and notable experiences such as photographing AC/DC and witnessing Prince's last concert. Mike emphasizes the importance of capturing moments, both ordinary and significant, and discusses his involvement in creating photo collages for prominent venues like the 40 Watt Club and Caledonia, as well as the annual AthFest Music & Arts Festival. Mike’s work is recognized by publications like Flagpole Magazine and Paste Magazine.
