Join Andrea, Matt, and Brandon as they start their discussion of the Oedipal Cycle with Oedipus Tyrannus, often called Oedipus Rex or Oedipus the King. Of the 3 plays, this plot is the most familiar, even to those who haven't read it. But Sophocles doesn't give it to us straight. through devasting revelation, he produces a tragedy that Aristotle would later hod up as the standard in his Poetics.
