In this Outdoor Classroom Tour and Talk we are talking with CIRCLE Member Katies Minor about her how her family childcare program evolved into the Wonderforest School. In this episode, we learn about Katies start-up journey, and how she brings adventure, fun, and learning outdoors. Not matter where you are in the process of creating an outdoor classroom, this episode; along with the Wonderforest School mission if full of golden nuggets.

MEET KATIE:

CIRCLE Member Katie Minor is a wife and mother of 5 children ranging from 20 years old down to 2 years old. She has worked in the early childhood education field for 15 years. Katie runs her own family daycare and has taught kindergarten, school-aged children, toddlers, preschool, pre-k, and children with all levels of abilities. Katie is currently a nature-based teacher certified as well as a Tinkergarten teacher. Katie decided to start Wonderforest to provide a safe learning environment that is more developmentally appropriate as opposed to the traditional classroom. She is a firm believer that it takes a village to raise a child.
