12-13-23 Ben Beckwith: Playing With Dak, Blocking Fletcher Cox

Former MSU offensive lineman and teammate of Dak Prescott Ben Beckwith joins the show on Farm Bureau guest line talking about his time with the Bulldogs and raising money for charity live in the BankPlus Studio. Ben talks about his experience walking on to the Mississippi State football team and working his way up into a starting position. Ben talks about coming from a small high school with a graduating class of 19 to doing workouts with an SEC football team. Ben mentions how he kept working as a backup and finally got his shot when the first string got hurt and he took advantage of his moment. Ben talks about his work in the scout team for MSU and blocking Super Bowl Champion Fletcher Cox in practice. Ben talks about how he started to win some blocks against Fletcher and that warranted a rare compliment from a coach in the film session. Bo asks Ben what it was like to block Fletcher in practice and Ben talks about how he was a talent freak when it came to raw ability. Ben talks about what it was like when Dak Prescott showed up in the weight room and the way he established himself as a leader.
