Dave Bartoo of the College Football Matrix joins the show on the Farm Bureau guest line talking about the landscape of the game live in the BankPlus Studio. Dave talks about the reason Georgia is now ranked #1 and how the committee choses teams based on how they feel. Dave says that one of the biggest deciding factors in ranking teams is game control and they love blowout wins. Dave looks at how the winner of the Ohio State and Michigan game will likely take over the #1 spot from Georgia. Dave breaks down the possibilities of if Alabama could win out and make it into the top four. Dave says how if Georgia loses to Alabama then Georgia is definitely out but that doesn't mean that Alabama is definitely in. There are some teams that guarantee themselves a spot in the CFP by winning out and Dave talks about how that shrinks the possibilities of other contenders getting in. Bo asks Dave about how there are more than two real contenders this year and how the games are a lot closer this season than they have been. Dave looks at Michigan and says they have one of the best defenses he has ever seen and explains why defense still wins championship. Dave explains how Michigan has never had a top 10 recruiting class in the past few years and how Jim Harbaugh has created a perfect storm in order to make his team a contender.
