Bo and the crew talk about how the Cowboys are the talk of the industry, a possible upset in the NFL playoffs tonight and the top graded field coaches in college football in the third hour of the show live in the BankPlus Studio. Dave talks about how Kalen Deboer was his #1 ranked guy for the Alabama job and how he is a great staffer. Dave talks about how he wasn't the best recruiter available but he hired the highest ranked OC since Steve Sarkisian for his staff. Dave notes that the best aspect of Kalen Deboer is his ability to change a program in one season. Bo asks Dave about if Alabama Athletic Director Greg Byrne made the best hire and Dave thinks he was the best available. Dave breaks down the five coaches from last season that had the best coaching effect gradings and four of the five have gotten a better job. Dave talks about a theory he has that includes coaches getting a system set up for them so their success is deceiving. Bo asks Dave about the top 5 field coaches and Dave gets a very close ranking of who is the best. Bo asks Dave if Lane Kiffin is a top 10 field coach and Dave says how they don't factor in recruiting and staffing. Dave looks at the way Lane Kiffin was able to make an impact in his first season at FAU and Ole Miss and what he has been able to do in Oxford.
