In this episode recap of our recent trip east to Prince Edward Island, we talk about our final day in Maine - visiting the Schoodic Penisula and more LOB-STA! We journey across the border into Canada and play 20-questions with the border patrol, do some karaoke with our new Canadian friends, and talk about our overnight in Saint John, NB. THEN, we finally make our way up the coast and over the Confederation Bridge into PEI - Prince Edward Island!! We settle into our new campground home for three days and visit "Avonlea" park - our first of many sites we visit that center around "Anne of Green Gables". We end the first night watching a beautiful sunset over the Atlantic from the red sand cliffs of Cavendish!

In this, our second of five episodes covering our recent trip up to Prince Edward Island, CAN, we talk about our adventures through New Hampshire and into Maine! We highlight several stops with recommendations on what we find most interesting along our trek east as we finally make it to the Atlantic coastline and venture our way up to Maine's Acadia National Park.

In this segment we talk about our planning process for our big trips - the resources we use and research that goes into our trips. We then talk about the first leg of our trip from Indiana to Vermont! SO much to talk about in the next five episodes as we take the trip of a lifetime to the land of Anne of Green Gables!

In this episode we spill the tea...on tea. We just released our fall/winter tea events on the website and it was crazy!! Several teas sold out in just minutes! We'll talk about that as well as the launch of Carrie's virtual vintage Halloween art sale that was a big success. We also talk about the wild gazebo concert at the tea room that had everyone soaked, but still enjoying the evening. AND, we talk circus - The Circus Grimaldi, to be exact!

In this episode we discuss our recent trip to Chicago to see "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil: The Musical"! We give a little review and also talk about the trip in general. We also talk about our long weekend camping trip to Columbus, OH! We take in the fabulous zoo, an immersive art museum, do a little camping and celebrate a big birthday!

In this episode we talk about our recent trip to Huntingburg, IN and our time at League Stadium - the home of the Dubois County Bombers, AND also the historic field where scenes from the movie, "A League of Their Own" were filmed in 1991. On our visit, there was a reenactment game of the Rockford Peaches and the Racine Belles prior to the Bomber's game. We came prepared!! Also, we talk about upcoming spooky artwork that Carrie will be releasing for sale. And, our drives in our 1959 Rambler are now back!! Plus, we talk about upcoming trips that we are excited about!

We are BACK! We'll honestly, we never deserted you, we just LOST an episode! Yes, the "Lost Episode" is real and we WILL find it! Actually, we know where it is, we just can't access it. It's a bit of a story and we talk about IT, as well as a whole bunch of other happenings that have filled our time since we last talked. We'll fill you in on the Derby Museum exhibit that we are now a part of, our wanderings over the past week, including our big, long 4th weekend that included performances, Rambler news, and other fun stuff!

In this episode we delve into the darkness that is Jeff's childhood. LOL!! Well, maybe not so dark, but his childhood adventures should be put into a book. We hear a few of his childhood camping stories and a couple of stories about some misguided decisions he made as a child. :) It's all in fun! Plus, we discuss the upcoming teas to be released for ticket sales on July 31! Several new teas and bringing back a few favorites from the past! We also talk about visiting Scottsburg, IN during their Mayberry Comes To Scottsburg Festival!

In this episode we talk about the great weekend of music, circus, fun and dancing in Peru, IN for their annual Cole Porter Festival! Cole Porter was "the tops" in music beginning in the late 1920s and running into the 1950s! We explore his hometown of Peru and also discover this little Indiana town's claim to fame with the circus as well! AND, we are two days into our visit to Savannah, so we talk about our arrival and reason for visiting this loveliest of cities!

In this episode, we talk about our recent trip to the Crescent Hill Garden Show in Louisville. We have another restaurant pick (maybe two) for the week AND Carrie has several book picks! We also discuss Carrie's reading habits, which could be dangerous to squirrels! LOOK OUT SQUIRREL!! And, we talk about our upcoming trip to The Cole Porter Festival in Peru, IN!

In Episode 20 we delve into Jeff's strange dreams - he has some doozies! We also talk a little baseball as we finally make it back to Slugger Field for our first Louisville Bats game of the season and our plans for a Dubois County Bombers game in Huntingburg, IN. We had a full weekend of music, storms, teas, flea markets, and threw in a little yard work to get things ready for our outdoor gazebo concerts!

In this episode, we talk about our busy past weekend with teas and music. Plus, we do a little traveling and celebrate our wedding anniversary at The Brown in Louisville! Carrie's latest book "Only in Louisville" is just about ready for print - 315 pages of artwork and text that she has worked on for the past six months. We also discuss favorite restaurants and have recommendations on a couple of books!

In this episode, we talk about our weekend trip to central Kentucky to visit the thoroughbred retirement horse farm - Old Friends Equine Farm - near Georgetown, KY. This beautiful farm is home to former thoroughbred champions like Silver Charm, the 1997 Kentucky Derby winner! This farm not only saves these champions from death, but allows them to live out their remaining years in comfort and admired by the public. While in the area, we explored Georgetown and drove over to Paris, KY to get a look at Secretariat Park - where a three-story mural by Kentucky equine artist, Jaime Corum, beautifully shows the Triple Crown winner crossing the finish line in the Kentucky Derby. We also have more tea talk (surprise, surprise)!

In Episode 17 we talk all things Derby...well, actually our Trifecta weekend of attending THREE days at Churchill Down - Thurby on Thursday, Oaks Day on Friday, and Derby Day on Saturday. We had some well-planned looks for this year and we had a blast roaming the newly renovated Churchill Downs! It is expansive and beautiful to behold! We also share a few notes on travel and teas for the summer!

In Episode 16, we talk about our big prep week for Derby - this year we are going Thurday, Friday (Oaks) and Saturday (Derby Day)! Lots of costumes to put together and final touches to make. We also talk about our recent outing to Wild Lights at the Louisville Zoo! We have added some music gigs to the summer calendar! AND...we talk about our creative youthful pasts - it's quite eye-opening! lol!!

In Episode 15, we talk about the approaching Kentucky Derby weekend for fun and fashion. Our Harry Potter Tea weekend was magically fun! Prepping for upcoming teas including our WW2 Tea - The Music That Helped Win The War. Plus, we talk kite flying fun and more upcoming music gigs!

In this episode we talk about our recent camping trip to Granville, TN for their annual Mayberry-I Love Lucy Days festival! Meeting back up with "Little Ricky" Keith Thibodeaux of I Love Lucy fame, and our first time meeting with Dennis Rush who played Howie Pruitt in The Andy Griffith Show! We SO enjoyed hearing the tales of these two great child actors who grew up on two of the most iconic TV shows of all time! AND, the teas season at the tea room is now in full swing!

In this episode we talk about the spectacular event - the solar eclipse - that we were able to witness in totality! This once in a lifetime event was even more thrilling than we could have imagined! We'll also remind everyone of the upcoming festival in Granville, TN that we will be participating in this coming weekend, bringing some Lucy Love to Tennessee's Mayberry Town! And, we will be charting a new course in the second half of this year at the Old Capitol Tea Room!
