The sermon for the First Sunday of Advent featured in this episode highlights the eagerness that most of us feel at this time of the year. The Very Rev. Al Crumpton notes that the season of Advent is the time to ask ourselves why we are are eager, and whether our sense of anticipation lines up with God's intentions for us. When the world is eager to fast-forward to December twenty-fifth, the message of Advent is to slow down, wait, watch, and renew our awareness of God's presence.
