Meanwhile, former Dublin footballer Tomás Quinn and former Mayo footballer Austin O'Malley joined Stephen in studio for more analysis of Galway vs Kerry. Following on from Brian Cody's decision to depart as Kilkenny Senior Hurling manager, two former Kilkenny hurlers, Aidan 'Taggy' Fogarty and Eddie O'Connor joined Stephen Doyle on Sunday's Off The Ball to consider Cody's legacy.

It was a bumper day of camogie action at Croke Park on Saturday, and Aisling O'Reilly was there to capture all of it. She speaks to Cork's Matthew Twomey and Amy O'Connor, as well as Waterford's Derek Lyons after Cork booked their place in the All Ireland final. Following that, Kilkenny's Brian Dowling and Claire Phelan reacted to their win over Galway, before Aisling chatted to Galway manager Cathal Murray.

We looked ahead to tomorrow's All-Ireland SFC Final on The Saturday Panel - as John Duggan was joined by Tyrone great Peter Canavan, ex-Galway star Finian Hanley, and 1997 All-Ireland-winner with Kerry Billy O'Shea.

We had plenty of immediate reaction on OTB Saturday to the news that Brian Cody has stepped down as Kilkenny hurling manager after 24 years in charge and 11 All-Ireland's. Limerick's All-Ireland-winning boss John Kiely, Cody's 2011 All-Ireland-winning captain Brian Hogan, and former GAA President Nickey Brennan were among those who joined John Duggan to pay tribute to an extraordinary managerial career. Former Galway boss Cyril Farrell and ex-Clare star Jamesie O'Connor were also on the show.

We were joined this week by Colm Begley of Laois, who officially announced his retirement from the inter-county game. Colm made his senior debut in 2005 but life soon took him in a very different direction. That direction was Down Under, when he secured a professional contract with Australian Football League team Brisbane Lions. Colm’s rise through the ranks of a new sport was remarkable and he was voted club rookie of the year in 2007. The Stradbally man played four years in the AFL before deciding to return home. Back in Ireland, he enjoyed 12 more seasons in the blue and white of Laois and learned the importance of developing Colm Begley the person, as well as the athlete. Transition was a key theme throughout this episode as Colm reflected on life lessons gathered from experiencing two elite sports. He is now the Player Welfare and Engagement Manager with the Gaelic Players Association.
