Show Notes

NASAs Van Allen Probe A, after 14 years of studying Earths radiation belts, is set to re-enter the atmosphere around March 10th. Despite running out of fuel in 2019, it delivered significant breakthroughs, including discovering a temporary third radiation belt. Most of the probe will burn up, posing minimal risk to ground. Meanwhile, its twin, Van Allen Probe B, continues its mission until 2030.
