Show Notes
Titusville, Florida, has launched its first phase of school zone speed cameras, covering six schools with a 60-day warning period until May 8th. Data from pre-launch tests reveals significant speeding issues, with 76% of vehicles exceeding the limit by more than 11 mph at Oak Park Elementary and James Madison Middle School. After the warning phase, fines of $100 will be issued for exceeding the limit by 11 mph or more. Phases two and three are planned for later this year, with the city partnering with a traffic tech company to identify problematic areas.
