Austin Police Investigate Deadly Shooting on Sixth Street; FBI Explores Terrorism Links
Three people died, including the gunman, and fourteen were injured in a shooting outside Bufords bar downtown. The gunman, Ndiaga Diagne, was a 53-year-old U.S. citizen from Senegal. He used a pistol and rifle, wearing a sweatshirt with Property of Allah and an Iranian flag T-shirt. The victims were identified as Savitha Shan and Ryder Harrington. Diagne legally bought the weapons in 2017 and wasnt on any watch lists. The FBI is investigating possible terrorism ties, while the incident wont impact SXSW security.
