Show Notes
Orange Countys new animal shelter, set to be the largest in Florida, is breaking ground near Conroy Road in Orlando. This $49 million project will offer over 123,000 square feet, including a large medical area for treatments. The old shelter, built in 1987, lacked air-conditioned kennels and had limited space. The new shelter will house up to 265 dogs and 200 cats, a significant increase in capacity. Pet Alliance also recently opened a new facility nearby. By 2027, these pets will have state-of-the-art homes, improving welfare across the board.
