Gowan Batist is a queer Jewish parent, partner, and writer living in the wilderness of Northern California. They manage a flock of heritage breed sheep and work in mountain lion advocacy. Gowan writes lyrical non-fiction essays and spins wool. As a parent, Gowan had a powerful, spiritual birth experience and is passionate about sharing their knowledge, especially with other LGBTQ+ families. Gowan will be joining a doula workshop to further support birthing people in their community.
