The same plot of land Nancy's dad bought for 700 shillings twenty years ago would cost over 200 million shillings today. The cost of land increased by 285,714 fold!
His salary then was 7,000 shillings. Today that same position would earn 3Million shillings. Salary increased by 429 fold.
This means the increase in land value is 664 times the salary increase.
Put another way, the salary increase is 0.15% of the land value increase.
