Open Source Voices
The Lives and People of the Open Source Community
JT Pennington
Show overview
Open Source Voices has been publishing since 2020, and across the 2 years since has built a catalogue of 31 episodes. That works out to roughly 30 hours of audio in total. Releases follow a monthly cadence.
Episodes typically run thirty-five to sixty minutes — most land between 46 min and 1h 8m — though episode length varies meaningfully from one episode to the next. None of the episodes are flagged explicit by the publisher. It is catalogued as a EN-US-language Technology show.
The catalogue appears to be on hiatus or wound down — the most recent episode landed 3.6 years ago, with no new episodes in over a year. The busiest year was 2021, with 24 episodes published. Published by JT Pennington.
From the publisher
After years of producing Linux, BSD and Other Open Source Podcasts, I came to the realization that we almost always focus on the technology. It makes sense, we all love tech, that's why we are who we are. But the community we are apart of is full of varied and fascinating people that make that tech. This is my attempt to highlight the people who are helping dream up and build the future around us.
