Eleven years on, missing man's sister still pushing for answers

Ontario Cold Cases - The Podcast S2-EP21 on the disappearance of Jon Riley

11 years ago, on April 26, 2013, Jon Riley, 46, left a note for his mother at their Meaford home, three hours north of London, saying he was heading to Toronto for a couple of days. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Jon worked with computers but would often travel to the city and pick up temporary painting and landscaping jobs.

Police said there is no evidence Jon ever left Meaford. They further said Jon enjoyed hiking in the area of the Bruce Trail and typically would bring along a backpack.

Police say there is no indication or reason to suspect foul play in the disappearance.

Some reports tried to tie in Jon’s disappearance to convicted serial killer, Bruce McArthur, but it appears that another disturbing case, that of a teacher arrested over sexual assault charges, may have been completely ignored.
