Daniel C. McFarland, DO, and Dr. Kirk Harris, MD, both of the University of Rochester, spoke with CancerNetwork® about their manuscript titled, “Cancer Pain and Opioid Use Disorder,” which was recently published in the journal ONCOLOGY®.
In the review, the authors explore current approaches for screening of opioid use disorder, evaluation of psychosocial stressors, factors that qualify the disorder, and management of patients suffering with addiction.
